Wayne was born to Lewis
and Bessie Cole (both deceased), Victoria, Conception
Bay. He is the youngest of five brothers and one sister:
Clarence, retired Lay Pastoral Minister; Eugene, retired
RCMP; Lewis, retired educator; Mary, self-employed
business person; and Roscoe, currently serving the
Blackhead / Western Bay Pastoral Charge.
Rev. Cole is a graduate of Atlantic School of
Theology and McCormick Theological Seminary University
of Chicago. Before coming to First United Church, Corner
Brook (NL), Rev. Cole served a number of pastoral
charges: Elliston / Newman's Cove (NL); Portugal Cove /
Bell Island (NL); J. Wesley Smith United Church, Halifax
(NS); Harbour Grace / Spaniards Bay (NL); Tara /
Centenary (ON); St Andrews / Bocabec (NB); and George
Street United Church, St. John's (NL).
Wayne and Rosalyn are delighted to be called to
ministry at First United Church. They are already
enjoying the beauty and pleasant lifestyle of Corner
Brook and looking forward to winter activities.
